Regular testing
Homeowners
Testing Services
Best practice suggests an installation should be
inspected at regular intervals according to the condition of the installation
and outside factors which could impact the overall integrity of the
installation, the frequency can be any period up to 10 years between
inspections.
This service is based on the Periodic Inspection
format as recognised by BS7671 16th and now 17th edition

tenant and the property, this service is designed to perform annual safety
checks to meet these requirements for the electrical installation, this
includes general condition of the installation, a schedule of inspections and
tests to establish the condition of the installation including, circuit
protection, earth loop impedance tests, polarity tests, smoke alarm operation,
earthing etc
Inspection and
Survey
Home Buyers
Survey
This service is designed to offer the homebuyer a
survey to establish the overall condition of the electrical installation prior
to purchase, be aware the Home Information Pack (HIP) generally excludes
the electrical installation of a property.
This service is based on the Periodic Inspection
format as recognised in BS7671
Avoid costly repairs or even a re-wire by
establishing the condition of the installation before exchange of
contract
This service may be used to provide home buyers,
their lenders, surveyors or architects with a clear statement on the condition
of the electrical installation.
Home Sellers Survey
Some home sellers prefer to arrange for a condition
survey to produce a statement as to the condition of the installation for
prospective buyers.
The survey is exactly as for the Home Buyers Survey
above, the difference being one site visit rather than a series of prospective
buyers wanting their own survey - save time and inconvenience commission a
home seller survey before you sell, identify and remedy any issues before
entering into negotiations with buyers.
Home Buyers & Home
Sellers Condition Report
This service is based on three of the four sections
of the BS7671 Periodic Inspection based on a sample of outlets rather than the
full inspection.
This is a low cost alternative to the full survey
designed to offer an opinion as to the overall condition of the electrical
installation based on a sub set of inspections and tests from the full survey
service.
This is sometimes more appropriate for newer
properties where a full inspection may not be required.
